Will Courbet

Photographer

Camera: Canon EOS 7D & Canon EOS 1N

Speciality: Black & White, Event, Fashion, Travel Medium: Film, Digital

Will has been a student of photography ever since he first picked up his father’s camera and continued to be a serious hobby throughout his education. His hobby turned into his profession while living in France, where he studied Art History and gravitated to the Baroque artists of the 17th century. The Baroque era produced sculptors and artists who were preoccupied with space, light, and motion. The artwork created in this time was characterized as being forceful, emotional, brilliant, tense, energetic, sensual and extravagant. It is these qualities that Will reproduces in his work, not with a brush or a chisel, but with a camera. His passion demonstrates his ability to use light and space to bring to life an inanimate, two-dimensional picture and evoke the emotions we all have as human beings, yet seldom get the chance to express.
